North Carolina Children's Book Award 2015
We are taking part in the annual North Carolina Children's Book Award voting program. The North Carolina Children’s Book Award program is a children’s choice program sponsored by school and public librarians in North Carolina and is designed to introduce children to current children’s literature and to instill a love of reading. The children of North Carolina will decide which book is the winner!
Almost all of these books have been newly purchased for our library - we have been reading picture books to grades K-3, and grades 4 and 5 can read the junior books on their own. Students need to read five books in the Picture Book Category to be eligible to vote for a Picture Book and five books in the Junior Book Category to be eligible to vote for a Junior Book. Students may also vote once at the public library.
